Birthing Person: a term to refer to a person who gives birth (pretty simple, right?). This term is inclusive, and we believe that it is important to use it to refer generally to those who give birth rather than using terms like “pregnant mom” or “woman.” Not every person who gives birth identifies as a mom or a woman.

This shirt is a statement that appreciate the use of inclusive language, and have no issue being called a “birthing person.”

Inclusive terms don’t hurt anyone. Using terms that exclude marginalized people can and do.
