Meet Bri - Sprout and Blossom's New Doula!

Grand Rapids Doula Brianna Trammell

We are absolutely thrilled to make this announcement. Sprout and Blossom is growing and now has a second doula!

Brianna Trammell (pronounced “Bri-ah-nuh”) is all kinds of wonderful. We are jumping up and down that she is part of the S&B team! Bri has an incredibly kind spirit, a contagious smile, and just the right amount of quirk. She is intentional and thoughtful and funny. She fits right in around here. Annica has had the privilege of seeing her doula work in action—and let’s just say, all of her clients will be in good hands. Here are some tidbits about Bri, in her own words. If you’re interested in Bri’s doula support, contact us today!

What makes you happy?

My family, coffee, peanut butter, and yoga.

Tell us about your family.

I have been married for 3 years to an incredibly silly, caring, and heartfelt man. Together we have our sweet baby girl, Harmony Annalise, who is 8 months old; and an overly energetic black lab mix.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Peanut butter and chocolate (and anything that has those two flavors in it…Reese’s, Peanut M&M’s, ice cream, etc.).

How would your best friend describe you?

Selfless, Compassionate, Silly, and Insightful

If you have friends coming for dinner what would be on the menu and who would be making it?

Pizza! Pizza very rarely sounds unappetizing to me. There is a great place around the corner from us, but we also make great homemade pizza.

What are you currently watching?

A family favorite is This Is Us, and New Amsterdam is my solo watch.

Where is your safe space?

Our home, cuddled up under a blanket on our couch.

What made you want to become a doula (besides experiencing what it was like to have a doula yourself!)?

I became passionate about birth and the fourth trimester after my daughter was born. I began learning more about what it means to have a beautiful and safe birth experience. This sparked my desire to do something to help all birthing people have a safe and beautifully transformative experience, so I became a doula.
